Gift Registry

**edit**
this post was originally from when this blog was used to provide information about my shower (which was beautiful!) Please don't see this as some kind of hellacious and brazen gift grab :)

For those who want some specific gift suggestions, Janine has created two registries:

http://www.myregistry.com
search Janine Steele
visitor password is: babybean

and

http://www.toysrus.ca/registry/index.jsp
registry#: 41752230

If anyone knows of good places to get quality used baby and child things, please post as a comment here!

Beginagains on Canada Way is wonderful (http://yellowpages.ca/bus/British-Columbia/Burnaby/Beginagins-Children-s-Consignment-Store/174587.html?adid=00351075) and there are a couple of places on Upper Lonsdale by 19th that are pretty fantastic...

I highly recommend keeping eyes peeled at garage sales for the big plastic toys - that's where we got all of ours.

you can get the starter kit of gdiapers at gdiapers.com for ten dollars cheaper:)

Janine/Justine:
I can lend you our Bumbo if you don't mind a gently used one until our peanut is old enough for it!

Forgive my ignorance - what is Bumbo? I'm sure Janine knows the answer - but I'm afraid I'm way out of date on baby stuff!

a bumbo is a seat thingy, for the baby to sit in - its only usable after they can hold their head up. I think its good for bone/spine development? and a helpful babysitter for that 5 minutes you need in the shower :)
Mir that would be great!

craigslist and kijiji are awesome. we picked up an antique rocker for $60 and a glider for $40 for nursing.
